Intravenous (IV) therapy, also known as infusion therapy, involves the administration of medication and IV fluids as per the recommendation of the primary physician. With home IV therapy, a registered nurse visits the patient’s home to set up the IV to administer fluids like saline, dextrose or antibiotics. Home IV services also include peripheral catheter insertion, vene puncture/phlebotomy and care of central catheter lines. Depending on the recovery, patients can get back to their usual routine and, in some cases, even return to work while still on therapy.

Vital signs are highly useful in monitoring and detecting medical problems. They are actually the measurements of your body’s most basic functions. Pulse rate, respiration rate, body temperature, and blood pressure are four prominent vital signs that need to be monitored routinely during the course of treatment. And, expert nurses for vital monitoring efficiently monitor these four vital signs appropriately without any concerns and without causing you any discomfort.

Ryle’s tube insertion, which is also called nasogastric intubation, is a medical process which involves the insertion of nasogastric tube (a plastic tube) through the patient’s nose, going through the throat, down into the patient’s stomach. And, trained and caring nurses at Radi health Services take all the necessary care and precaution while performing the process of Ryle’s tube insertion. Nurses help out the patient for Ryle’s tube insertion to drain the gastric contents, introduce a passage into the GI tract, obtain a specimen of the patient’s gastric contents, and decompress the patient’s stomach.

Nebulization is commonly recommended by doctors for the treatment of asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD, and various other respiratory disorders and diseases. In nebulization, nebulizer, which is a drug delivery device that turns the liquid medicine into a mist, is used to administer the required medicine in the form of mist into the patient’s lungs for relief. Even though nebulizers might be easier to use than metered-dose inhalers, you might need good nursing service to ensure the right use of nebulizers and smooth nebulization

Staples and sutures are used to hold a surgical site or other wound closed, to facilitate healing. One important step in patient recovery is the removal of such sutures at the specific time, typically when the wound is healed completely, so as to avoid inflammation, scarring and other complications. This is mainly required in the case of non-absorbable sutures.
Typically suture removal is done within a few days of discharge from a hospital.

Typical durations are:
• Face: 3-4 days
• Neck: 5 days
• Scalp: 6-7 days
• Arms and back of hands: 7 days
• Chest and abdomen: 7-10 days
• Legs and top of feet: 10 days
• Back: 10-12 days
• Palms of hands and soles of feet: 14 days
Suture removal can be done at home by one of our experienced nurses. This can help to reduce anxiety in patients and is ideal for patients with reduced mobility.

Suture removal typically includes the following steps:
• Interact with the patient to make him/her feel comfortable.
• Assessment of wound healing.
• Removal of stitches using sterile instruments and removal of staples with staple removers.
• Explanation of post stitch removal care plan.
In case of large number of sutures or infected suture/incision lines the team would also recommend dressing or admission depending on the need.
